coke and a smile

we got in almost 3 hrs up around the local bst, slc trail system.

it was too hot for arm warmers today, if you take my special lower line trail system it works in some upper avenues pavement sections to avoid the upper dry creek and all the mud. we rode dust all day from the zoo over to ensign peak.

if youre ever bonked like me and around 11th ave and about 800 east at the firehouse there is a coke machine outside for 50 cents. and it takes dollar bills.

so we got some cokes and all was good.

blow up this pic and see if the moose shows up, hes back in the bushes a ways, looked closer live.

looking west above ensign see the salt lake way out west.

i was layin down about 125 watts on the climbs

salmon and NBA

a few weeks ago when we went to seattle i scored a whole fat ass salmon, some lobster and scallops at the pike street market, well i waited and waited and tonight i get to chow on some sea food.

im on a sea food diet, what ever i see i eat.

also the main event on TNT tonight is jasons brother craig sager with the #1 in the NBA houston in the west and #1 in the east ray allen and the big ticket KG, should be barn burner, houston is on a 22 game win streak, 2nd longest in NBA history.

atrain will probably be watching it

up over by the zoo the trails are shaping up nice, upper roller coaster, red butt, lower bob sled, bst all fast and tacky.

i spotted linde T, dave w, gary and kday racing. in their sweet sky blue kits.

you know its time to ride when scott kuhl team is puttin in the hrs.

linde thinks his scott spark is light at "20.8 pounds"

it doesnt compare to the scalpel SL so dont even try.

the bobsled glacier

i like the header pic.
sweet, shes hot.

if you're thinking of going riding this week up dry creek over to city creek dont try it unless you want long hiking sections with deep snow, frozen packed snow and messy sloppy muddy trails.

if you dont care about that then go rip it, after the top of bobsled glacier, 3 feet thick still. its a ripper.

probably wont be dry for 2 weeks, or april 5th. if it stops raining and snowing.

porc detour

we rode up sand flats road which is packed like pavement, at the porc turn off keep going on the dirt road. it goes to colorado, i think i went to far. then jumped a fence and was riding through the junipers looking for the right trail, then i came to a cliff and the trail was at the bottom, it was north facing and had 3 foot snow banks, i hiked down and chippo was on the right trail watching me flail, post hole my way off a cliff. then the seat broke, its kind of old so it might have been cracked. ripped down porc rim to the road and back to town. too bad chippos helmet cam didnt work, we could see me launchin the dh passin him and makin it look easy.

i bonked at about an hour, go figure. 40 miles, 4 hrs, need sleepy.

dont forget the shorts

im going to moab, i wonder if its raining....

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/2008/03/11/86-shorts/

its not raining in moab, its quite nice. considering slc is crap. funny thing is chippo has been threatning to "wax my ass" for a few weeks.
since i've been to an alternate training camp, his head has gotten pretty big and he keeps saying how hes going to drop me, so he called me about 9 times today. "im on sovereign"

"im at mcstiffs with herbold"

"my watts are kickin your ass"

"tomorrow youre goin down"

texts, calls, endless rambling from the bald old guy, so the funny thing is i told him i left town and went to fruita. then i went out to the van, im at the bighorn lodge and i saw his van parked a few down from mine. hes upstairs, so i text him, "someone is breaking into your sprinter at the big horn"

he comes flying out of the room, funniest thing i saw all day.

now i guess i will have to go wax his ass on poison spider tomorrow, then porcupine.
see if he can keep up, i had girl scout cookies, ice cream and burritos today. i should have a lot of energy.

yaaa

chipotle: another barbacoa, qdoba copy. its good, a burrito bowl hasnt grazed my tongue in 7 weeks.

thats a long time ago, no mexican down under, and then... well you get the picture.

chipotle at 1400e 7000s. sent a free burrito ticket in the mail, so i had to cash it in. it was like winning the lottery, or getting out of jail.

the past month has been hard, but we persevere.

its all downhill now, time to rip.

a few years ago snake told me, if you train on the road bike all winter doing 20-30 hr weeks and do 5 hr road races all the time, when you line up for a 2.5 hr mtn bike race it seems like a short track.

true

after not eating for awhile and doing nothing but walking.

riding 3 hrs a day and skipping lunches seems like the same, you just did 3 weeks of base, 40 hr weeks of base, in theory. now you got it easy, riding and eating daily?

seems like a cake walk.

thats why its all downhill, and you know how i roll that.

go wash your ass out

tomorrow i will be done fasting and i will go get a burrito.

for some of you that think the last posts of me not eating for 22 days is a joke you dont really know whats going on.

i rode yesterday and i felt great, food has its pos and negs.

one side it gives you energy,

the other is it can bog you down, make you heavy and feel lethargic.

i did this quest about 2 years ago and it was way harder, this time it was much easier. probably because i knew what to expect and i learned a few tricks along the way.

experience is the way of the wise man.

dont be fooled by TV cameras and colonoscopies showing inside body footage of clean colons!!

this is so impractical it makes me want to crack skulls.

your intestines are over 25 feet long!!! how can a cable and camera 4feet long show anything?!?!?!?!

IT CANT

if you feel sick, tired, lethargic, have chronic fatigue, disease, diabetes, cancer etc. you probably have layers of old food inside of you making you sick, no drugs or surgery is going to fix that.

there are CURES FOR CANCER, DIABETES AND EVERY DISEASE

dont believe the lies, donate money for cancer research and waste it to the CEO's of companies trying to HIDE THE CURE.

its available to whoever you need to believe it, take care of yourself and clean you body of layers of bad food and toxic waste.

then magically the diseases GO AWAY

so go wash your ass out and you might feel as good as me

i have to be blunt and some might think im offensive but wake up and go take care of yourself or your going to die

http://www.thecoloncleanse.com/ in utah

read info, dont listen to doctors they are stupid in ways of health and natural healing.

http://www.appliedozone.com/parasites.html

http://www.appliedozone.com/colonics.html

ANTI BIOTICS: THE BEGINNING OF THE END

if your stupid doctor gives you antibiotics for any and everything then you probably feel like shit.

he doesnt tell you to replace all the flora you just killed with ANTIBIOTICS!!!!!!!!!

what the hell is this about??? if you want to see me get pissed off about health care then this is a good place to start.

you kill all your good bugs and the idiots dont tell you how to fix it, so they give you more drugs that dont work and you wonder why everyone is so screwed up?!??!?!?!

go to wild oats and get probiotics and you will feel normal again.

stop taking anti biotics and KILL THE CANDIDA IN YOUR GUT, you might feel like doing something productive.

OFF THE BOX NOW

go fix your life and do go to the doctor for HEALTH PURPOSES

"I don't have much time but I'm tired of looking at peoples blogs that aren't updated. If you have a blog you should update it. I don't even have a real job I'm trying to avoid by surfing the net but you have an obligation to the people riding the desk to keep them entertained while they're suppose to be working."

i made it 17 days, whats 10 more? or 14 more. some hours suck, others seem like i ate an hour ago, dont know why, but its easy then super hard. like a bike race. thats hard to grasp, but thats how i roll.

i brought a lot of junk to sell at the swap today and the crowds came quick and fast. for 2 hours straight it was action. i donated a bunch of junk to the collective and sold some other goods. made some mad jack and cleared out my apartment.

next one is in tucson april 20th, should be 110 degrees down there by then.
i want the snow to melt, im going to ride the mtb next sunday after 24 days of no food and see how that goes, i should be able to climb like a beagle.

dh was at the swap this morning, then he left for rmr and then came back to the swap.
that was a weird story.
the story went like this, alex rock took out team rico, that sucks. at least when you crash in a mtn bike race its your own fault,... usually.

dinner

stalled out at 12 pounds in 14 days.

i better start walking more.

12 more days to go, how was your dinner, mine was empty calories.
my phone has a pedometer on it, it says i walk between 2 and 4 miles a day. its probably not accurate, 6,000 to 9,000 steps a day all over. i went to fred meyer 3 times to look at candy and steaks.
i've been watching emril, rachel ray and bobby flay a lot on the food channel.
its torture but so is bike racing.
im used to it,
chippo claims hes winning the rim ride, too bad im going to puerto rico or i would slay him.
cholla challenge is up in 5 weeks. 37 days, get ready for 90 degrees for 38 miles.
yaaa

i might give up food forever

ever heard of the breatharian race?? well im on my way, its more than you realize.

spirituality through living without food or water, just the pure air you breath gives you all you need.

these people are almost extinct, like the jedi.

probably cuz they starved to death.

read more here

How is it that one can survive without food?
The idea here is that we do not now, nor have we ever, "lived"on so-called "foods." What we truly live on, if anything at all,is, as of yet, still a Divine Mystery to me.
My personal belief is that "foods" are, in reality, nothing more than addictive drugs. Some foods appear to be less harmful than others.

Why would anyone want to become a Breatharian?

For me, Breatharianism is about a spiritual quest -- a quest leading to the maximum expansion of personal consciousness/awareness -- to come into a condition in which, ideally, all doubt will be removed, a condition in which we will be able to know how to correctly proceed in all circumstances -- to come into a condition in which one's "contact" with god is maxed out! -- to become at one with the very consciousness of God, if such a thing is possible!

i copied that paragraph off the website, just so you know i didnt write it. i would never write anything that moving.

if you want to see something really funny click on the link above and scroll down to the last story, that crazy ass hasnt eaten since august 2005, check out his list of food pitfalls.

i have not laughed so hard since 3 days ago

hungry in salt lake

i made it through another weekend of no eating, day 12 today.

12 to go, yesterday was the worst day so far and i almost cracked, every where i go i see things i would pay big money to eat.

if the green lantern didnt challenge me i think i would have caved.

and if chippo didnt get a top ten saturday i think i would have pigged out.

my legs feel like rubber and i cant walk down the street for more than a mile, otherwise i get tired and feel like sleeping.

i went to a couple movies and the smell of popcorn is almost too much.
i better stay home and focus,

but the cafe rio sign is blaring red into my apt across the street.

story of the desert rampage by shannon boffeli

posted by request for shannon B.

Desert Rampage, St. George, Utah/March 1, 2008
Early season racing is always a surprise. Until the starting gun fires it’s a mystery who will be fast and who won’t. Today went a long way in solving that mystery. The men’s race featured a stacked field of riders. Many Colorado professionals decided to make the trek to warm and sunny southern Utah escaping the large winter snowfall in Colorado. Temperatures in the 70s and dry trail conditions made everyone happy they came.
