bz at the beach, bobby in moab, sly freezin ass off in corn field

im not racing here, i dont know why im here. i have so much to do, people and stuff at home its kind of crazy why im here. im walkin around in shorts, dont have any motivation to go ride in snow mud or cold air here. i watch and wait, i sat in the van for 2 days gettin here. now i want to get to the beach, with my fave friend. ??? she wants to go to st. lucia. where is that? its in the caribean somewhere

mysteries....

bz found a dead box jelly fish,

he is in florida. its 83 degrees. its goin to be 20 here tomorrow. i want to ride in warm weather and im in this deep freeze watching all these skinny bikers freeze and get muddy.

i have to stop in vail monday and pick up 100 pairs of sidis. i dont have room for all those boxes.

i got this from pic from a girl, i cant say who cuz she will kick my ass.
it reminded me that bz is workin on his tan. where i should be, not freezin my ass off watching guys get muddy.

yaaaaaaaa!

masters women raced today then we went to cabellas

i found the real tommy boy, me and him are workin on who can get the biggest gut in the off season. i got him beat pretty good.

my latest female friends have said it, now i know its for real.

it snowed in the corn field

i pulled up at the den and el gato with crew jumped me.

they marveled at my packing skills.

then they went to the bar.

yaa

tetris master sly. im a good packer, and you can leave it at that. i dont work at the fudge factory. but i can fit a square peg in a round hole. i have a witness.

mitchel has a 15 pound 60cm race machine and requested 1st class inside warm heating for the fresh dugast rubber and carbon rims. with foam padding and sheep skin blankets.

so did dr x. and atrain. more carbon rims. and ali wanted 1st class for the midget bikes.

i dont get how these guys will trash a 4000 dollar bike riding it in shit mud for 3 months and then worry about 10 hrs of road grime, if any.

spend hours spit shining these nice rides and mounting/glueing tires and come here, or anywhere and trash it to shit in 1 hr.????

insanity!!

rippin 90mph for 13 hrs. im cashed. i think i gained 10 pounds sitting that long.

i was in some corn fields for way to long.

you are nowhere

they pulled out the tractors at walmart

i had to stop for a pic some time.

ali wants me to pick his ass up at the airport at 1am so im the nice guy. the guy who packed his bikes for him, and his big ass bag with studded tires and pedros pit kit, oh wait that was atrains.

kathys trainer, ali's extra wheels and oh ya atrain brought the car harts.

im a pro blogger so wait till tomorrows picture blog

"you didnt tell them i was waxin dave wood then my pedal fell off cuz you didnt tighten it, you borrowed my 1 speed and switched the pedals"

" i could have won and you would have been waxed"

"the watts never left, they are stronger, the giardia diet works", im takin climb-um jones name since he retired"

"climb-um ohran"

thats not a gap tooth

in the trenches,

im not talking about me, i mean these guys riding in slush, shit and power sapping mud for an hour.

sand bagger oleary won the last 10 B events. if you have time to talk and look at the camera youre not going hard enough.

i call myself a fair weather rider and i dont have a problem watching them suffer in cold muddy conditions like today.

this pic is self explanatory

the trail was bout 4" of shit, flat but in your 42x23 slogging. bikes heavy with...well, shit.

frozen feet and legs from the 32 degree temps and riding in slush for an hour.

looked like ali g was goin for the win. had a 35 sec lead with 3 laps to go. probably only 20 mins.

the beagle looked flat and didnt have any watts, he was in the pain cave.

i guess everyone was, but atrain, rico, reed, jon g and bart rolled through wheel to wheel.
3 laps to go the gap opens up

but then the beagle got sick of following and took off in search of victory.
everyone left at the race was screaming.

since this kind of action never takes place.

its never any drama. its plain attack at the gun and solo it in for the win.

makes for boring racing for the spectators.

so ali is cashed, hes sloggin, hatin it, layin it all out for the rare win. little by little second by second hes losing time to the beagle.

35 sec down to 20 in 1 lap.

next lap its down to 7 sec.

500meters at the barriers, bg goes for the pass and ali sees the W slip from his grip.
i feel bad for socks, but when you got a beagle down you need to kick him a few more times.
atrain goes from 3rd with 1k to go to last, face first into the barriers and gets this goose egg on the shin.

shifters broken, seat twisted 90 degrees the wrong way and 1000 meters of mud between him and the line, he runs... then walks. gifted by rico last week. now its his turn to give up 3rd.

now its team rico takin jon g for the sprint to the line for 3rd. all those rmr's have to pay off some time and it looked easy takin the short 300 foot sprint from the tiny 130 pounder from heber.

i know a lot of people left early. i would have, it was cold everyone was wet and muddy. some people didnt even come cuz the weather was so bad.

but you all missed the best race i have seen around here in probably 49 years.

these guys in the trenches suffering, puttin in the hours, week after week. when you see them in the summer makin it look easy its cuz these times in the pain cave are what make those days seem easy and effortless.

not many see the time, dedication and committment needed for races this hard.
