1991 cat 4 roadie on mtb ya i did that

maybe you were in the st george road race in 91 around the gunlock/snow canyon loop. i didnt register,.. i just jumped in.

i lived in ivins in 1991 and saw them go by so i caught up to the pack going out towards gunlock and rode with some guys up to veyo then down to my house again.

a few guys, probably about 10 were so pissed they tried to hit me, but i dropped them on the climb.
ripppppp it
here is what alex and evan do every day. ride 2 hrs on the trainers, watching "hell of the north"

"rad" and "quick silver"

oh ya and evan plays guitar hero.

they went to st george a few weekends ago and did 12 hrs in 3 days. other than that they have not ridden in slc out side since november.

oh ya, alex did a few cx races, but that was a few months ago.

you wont catch me doing that.

looks like rain in dixie, vegas, phoenix, LA, this weekend, tomorrow, and for awhile. im staying in the big city.

hit the slopes and im going snow biking for sure.

i'll be at the beach in sydney in 2 weeks. i better start workin on my tan.

life isnt short

You know, some people say life is short and that you could get hit by a bus at any moment and that you have to live each day like it's your last.
Bullshit.
Life is long.
You're probably not gonna get hit by a bus.
And you're gonna have to live with the choices you make for the next fifty years.

mall walking

i found this hot ski bunny girl out on the slopes. check her out.

if you want to see something funny go to an indoor mall and watch the old people walk around with ski poles.

they will take you down.

that happened to me yesterday.

today i decided to take down some old people up at solitude with my ski poles. you see, you can knock them down and get away, rip the trees and not get hauled off by the five 0.

dh'in then ridin the lift all day is hard work, i need to integrate that into the training plan. nothin like 5 mins runs then 10 min lift rides all day.

im blown.

i got some used atomic demos at the rental shop from spencer for $80, him and stormin are goin to st george thursday for some road miles.

they have a condo so if you are coming down next weekend, in 4 days, you can stay with us for $20 bucks.

chippo really thinks his new name is climb-um.

jones needs to come out of retirement and work his ass over.
see, i believe in safety first. tell everyone to wear their helmet.

i was gettin in some hours at fred meyer one stop shopping

at brookstone they have a massage chair for $4 grand, so i ordered 2.

i tested this one out for bout an hour, its sweet, it rubs your hands, feet and calves.

chippo is back

i drove down to st george yesterday, didnt really want to go that bad but went anyway. i should have stayed in the big city.

i rode out in HURRICANE today for 3 hrs, it was cold and windy. so windy it almost blew me off the rim trail.

i wasnt having any fun so i decided to come home and go ski at solitude. its cold and snowy here so i should take whats in the back yard and stop wishing i was somewhere else.

im old and soft, cant handle the jet set life style of old.

need to settle down and relax.

next time you see me remind me to stop being like sager.

explaining to the lamen

fact is gravity works all the time, it doesnt just work on mondays and tuesdays. if you dont understand this then stop reading.

seems my fellow bloggers tend to think this way. gravity works on tuesdays not thursdays.

we all know it works all the time so its proven and its fact.

law of attraction is no different. you cant say it works sometimes but not others. either you go with it 100% or nothing.

you might be confused or stubborn about this. i dont need to explain every senario to the nay sayers.

people did attract earthquakes, mass murders and wars.
i think thats where everyone gets afraid. the power of this is more than you can imagine.
gravity holds planets up in orbit, moves oceans and such. its a very powerful force.
and so is the law of attraction.
until you can grasp its power, or even acknowledge its existence. you will be forever untombed in your box and limit your own power.
collective groups of people in various parts of the world can think a certain way, they can feel as a whole victimized and helpless.
those people as a group can have built up negative energy and make miracles happen.
or disasters
different races of people as a whole can think along the same lines as a whole, feel like they are worthless, victims and weak. attracting wars, famine and such.
you can say all day to me "what about this and what about that"
fact is it doesnt matter, one day it will be accepted on the whole that it is what i believe just as the world was proven to be round.

its not about right and wrong, im not here to preach or make anyone believe.
its almost like preaching religion and it shouldnt be. its a way anyone can choose to live and you need to know its up to you and how you think.

not anyone else.

have fun--

we americans are particularly driven by ambition and the push to succeed, often at the expense of enjoying the journey. lets not forget the bigger picture.

suffering doesnt serve anyone, although it is a habit some easily engage in. sometimes we think its wrong to enjoy life when so many others aren't,
or when there is so much work to be done to correct our "faltering" world. the truth is that suffering doesnt serve ayone, not you, not others, and certainly not the casue we feel so passionate about.

were offering our best service when we feel good. know what when you "push against" something, you strengthen it. that in itself is reason enough to relinquish suffering. theres nothing to prove and no hoops to jump through in order to be worthy of reward. so relax and relish.

finally, you know more than you think you do. remember to trust yourself and lighten up to savor the journey. we make much more of all this than is helpful. enjoy your new year as if it were impossible to screw up. because indeed. it is.

glass half full

im a believer in the glass half full theory. i listen and watch what people say and see how it affects their lives.

its quite obvious to me how people talk and then act, live how different their lives are.

while some say life sucks, things suck in general, always getting screwed, never have time or money. magically thats how their lives are.

others, that give thanks, are happy, ready to tackle the problem or problems that face them have better attitudes to adversity, well those are the people that dont complain, they dont dwell on the negative, are rarely down or negative and these people have tons of positives going on.

cliche 1

the proof is in the pudding
i spent 16 hrs in the van yesterday, i took some new roads i had never been on and just kept it rolling all day.
i took I90 north into minnesota, across s.dakota into the black hills. then lots of small roads across wyoming. it was a long day.
saw a lot of new things, had a lot of new thoughts as well. NFL on sirius saved the day.

lobster theory,

at stores or restaurants where they serve live lobster,

they live in a water tank, they put rubber bands around the claws so they dont pinch you, or better yet pinch each other.

you see if you watch the lobster tank, if they were not banded up, one guy would try to crawl up the corner, trying to get out. the other lobsters see him and go grab him pulling him down, back with the rest of them, who are about to get boiled.
its a primitive mechanism, humans have it to.

see someone trying, doing, getting out, and they grab them and bring them down. "hey im stuck here, you are going to leave me down in this shit pile"

i see it everyday, mostly with words. it has a greater effect that way.
people have good and bad days but how they deal with it and move is on the lesson.

cliche 2

you can take a horse to water but you cant make it drink.

its a free world, you can do what you want, thats the beauty of it all.

im the messenger, i deliver stuff.

i like to think what if.
