glass half full

im a believer in the glass half full theory. i listen and watch what people say and see how it affects their lives.

its quite obvious to me how people talk and then act, live how different their lives are.

while some say life sucks, things suck in general, always getting screwed, never have time or money. magically thats how their lives are.

others, that give thanks, are happy, ready to tackle the problem or problems that face them have better attitudes to adversity, well those are the people that dont complain, they dont dwell on the negative, are rarely down or negative and these people have tons of positives going on.

cliche 1

the proof is in the pudding
i spent 16 hrs in the van yesterday, i took some new roads i had never been on and just kept it rolling all day.
i took I90 north into minnesota, across s.dakota into the black hills. then lots of small roads across wyoming. it was a long day.
saw a lot of new things, had a lot of new thoughts as well. NFL on sirius saved the day.

lobster theory,

at stores or restaurants where they serve live lobster,

they live in a water tank, they put rubber bands around the claws so they dont pinch you, or better yet pinch each other.

you see if you watch the lobster tank, if they were not banded up, one guy would try to crawl up the corner, trying to get out. the other lobsters see him and go grab him pulling him down, back with the rest of them, who are about to get boiled.
its a primitive mechanism, humans have it to.

see someone trying, doing, getting out, and they grab them and bring them down. "hey im stuck here, you are going to leave me down in this shit pile"

i see it everyday, mostly with words. it has a greater effect that way.
people have good and bad days but how they deal with it and move is on the lesson.

cliche 2

you can take a horse to water but you cant make it drink.

its a free world, you can do what you want, thats the beauty of it all.

im the messenger, i deliver stuff.

i like to think what if.

I believe this whole hearted. I also find that laughing/humor makes just about everything easier.
