runners are wack

i didnt know the wasatch 100 was today. i had a typical lazy day, up till 4am watching movies. up at 11am.
lotoja was today, they had 5 hrs in before i got out of bed. normie said it sucked, well i told you that a few weeks ago.

he got 13th in 9.5 hrs.
sounds like hell

and those wacky runners they had 6 hrs in, they started at 5am today in kaysville. finishing in midway. thats some hard core shit.

i got dropped off at snowbird and rode up to alta, up catherines i saw a bunch of red flags tied to the bushes along various points. didnt know why but then i figured it out. i saw a few hikers in alta but no runners. i ripped it down into brighton and saw the first runners with numbers.

i didnt know what was up yet so i climbed up the road to scotts hill.

there was a water aid station just past the radio towers and it was now dark so i turned on the lights and ripped some trail.

i was getting mad cuz i went up there to see nobody. i couldnt ride the dh because these jackass runners were in my way.

30 miles from the finish they looked blown and were barely running. every downhill on the crest was a pack of runners so i got to the rock spine and burned it. right after that the fork that goes down to deso and the turn to millcreek i saw a bunch of people coming up from deso so i knew millcreek would be empty. they went up to dog lake then down and up again to deso, crest to brighton.

i didnt see anyone until i hit the parking lot and it was packed, with cars, trucks and people.

i didnt stop i just ripped down the canyon, must of been an aid station.

coasting down milcreek in the dark i saw about 50 walkers on the road with lights. these poor bastards had 40 miles to go and its 9pm.

im at elbow fork and they had to climb that bitch from lambs and run down that trail to the road.
have you ever been up elbow fork to lambs, its a steep SOB.
running down it after 60 miles i bet was joy.

no thanks, im coasting down the hill and going home.

i wonder when they will finish
about 10 years ago we were riding from pc to provo on this trail up at the top of brighton there is a fork that goes south bound into mineral basin. it was sunday morning and there were still people running and had over 25 miles to go. they had been out for 29 hrs and had 5 hrs to go.

thats pure hell and i would never do it.
but i have people tell me they would never do the things i do.

guess its survival of the fittest.

adventures that i didnt plan on today.
