wondering

im wondering why it takes some one to die for others to acknowledge them.

you see people die every day, some you know mostly ones you dont know. they always show the close ones on tv saying the same thing.

dont know why this happened to such a nice guy

then you read the paper about these dead people and it says all these nice things about them.

why does the collective society have to wait for someone to die before they get any acknowledgement for their quailities.

i just think thats screwed up.

everyone should be complimented daily.

but in this society its rarely done

if you say anything about yourself you are conceited.
if you blow you own horn you are cocky

if too many people give you props for ass kicking then the group mumble or feeling is "go easy on him he'll get a big head"

ok thats great.

lets just wait for them to die,

then we can be just in giving a paragraph about the guy who was the nicest around.

dont read this the wrong way, everyone should get complimented daily in this world but it never happens as much as it should.

im going riding in the dark

Sly,

I agree. Sometimes the terminal are open to what you prescribe, sometimes they, for whatever reason would rather not go there...and they just want to read your kick ... blogs and hang with you and enjoy what they have left...

Anyone reading your blogs knows that you are a riot to hang around... aka- you live... and the beauty of it is, that it's a great thing for both those who live long and those who unfortunately don't...

Keep your head up man, you certainly make life a bit more enjoyable for all of us... thought you may want to know.

I finally rode that rocky switchback going down City Creek without putting a foot down yesterday (though I did clip out of my pedal). Didn't make the next one with the wood barrier. When you get on a normal schedule after Moab we need to do BST. I want to see the big ring action on The Wall!

Thanks for the reminder. I found out Wed. that mum's tumor is growing back and has "quality and not quantity" left. I'll call her now even though I did already today.

big ring the wall is easy, just depends how fast you go. if you stand up and throttle it. or sit and grind it. thats why they call me coffee, i grind so fine.

The paper would be really big if they ran stories about how great everyone is while they are still alive.
