i have a gram scale

and i pulled it out today. i trimmed 18 oz off this stock rush. i could take another pound off but it involves replacing the cranks, brakes and ders. and i dont have all those super trick parts lyin around anyhow.
i changed the riser to a flat bar, took off the lizard skin and water cage, changed the rubber grips to cork tape, switched the seat and post and put on an xtr cogset. all that saved over a pound. now that ride weighs in at 23.5 lbs. not too bad for a freeride bike.

heres a pic from last nights sunset, its not like that tonight its pissing down like a costa rican monsoon. the water should be good for the trail out in BFE 5 mile. im not sayin if im racin yet so you will just have to wait until ed says go to see if im there ready to rumble.
