trexlertown pa

i have barts pika bag, its a double bike carrier. i loaded it full of parts today at the T-town velodrome. when i opened it up it had 2 dead mice and a nest inside.

that was nice,

since he lives up in the mtns they live in his garage and made a home in the pika bag. they were poisoned and probably have been there for a few months.

now im all grossed out and dont want to touch the bag. i have to load it up and put all my stuff in it. thats going to be hell.

on the other hand, this swap is pretty big. i saw horse pills marty hawking free oakleys and a big box of navigators clothing.
from the swaps i go to over the years the pros show up and unload the garb they get for free, its a given and i would do the same thing.
at denver you might see, dunlap, rishi, hampsten or a load of b class pros making the trip. in seattle i saw el gato, jonny sundt and EPO sheppard. madison wisconsin has nobody famous but the trek crew is there with a ton of goods.
san fran brings fast freddy hawking coffee, tom ritchey and a bunch of hoodlum trackie messengers, down in tucson the big shocker is gord fraser. that guys is cheap, wont sell his 11-21 dura ace cogsets with 10,000 miles for under $30.
haggling with these guys is like making copper wire out of pennies.
today marty was like that, but bobby j is cool and easy going. good deals and hey, its for the kids. ya and he gave me dave Z's tour de france number. big deal, ya but hey there is only one and i got it. so im puttin it on egay.

lemond was here also, just riding by with a posse of roadies following him around "training"

bobby j was here unloading used csc bibs and all kinds of crap, "for the kids"

dale scored all his goods before i knew he was here. dammit, like loads of clothing with his name tags on them and the 2004 olympic watch that only the athletes get. for like 15 bucks.

that sucks,
but dale worked it and spent like 10 grand. im not rollin like that and couldnt come up with the green backs.

5 van loads of stuff and hes got about 600 in fedex ground shipping charges to get it back to SLC.

tomorrow im in the city walking and wishing i had a bike, sight seeing or chilling, i got a day to burn and im sure i will find something to pass the time.

i didnt know new jersey had so many trees. i thought this was the city. shows you how much i know about the garden state.

im going to go look for the cash cab. hopefully i wont get run over or hi-jacked by some brothas
