calorie counting doesnt work so dont waste your time

im not telling you this because i tried it before and failed, its just common sense to me and im tired of hearing people talk about how they cant have this or that, restricting themselves to low calorie foods.

im quite tired of reading and hearing about it, so if you want more info look here. or go google some more info and stop doing stuff that doesnt help you.

this post is not connected to cleanse i did last month, that was not to lose weight, it was a cleanse. not eating anything is the worst way to lose weight,

why do you think all the normal people who dont ride are fat, its cuz they drink diet soda, dont eat anything all day and dont drink water.

pretty simple, go figure.

your body is more complicated than calories in and calories out, and besides your digestion is probably screwed up anyway so your body i bet has 90% chance of not even breaking down or using a lot of stuff you eat anyway.

helloooo!!!!!

check out mitchs seat post, yaaa im changin your name to salt city tree farm

How can it be a cleanse if you're sucking down sugary energy drinks and Mountain Dew?

Yes, the body is more complex than simple calories in / out, but calories is still a good place to start. Most people don't know how many calories they take in each day - most assume they're doing OK when really they're taking in WAY more calories than their body burns. Counting calories is good for getting a rough idea.

My friend decided he wanted to make a life-long change in his eating and overall health (notice I didn't say diet, which most people associate with a short term fix). He looked up the calories for the foods he ate and cut back on or eliminated the high ones. He also started exercising regularly. Within 3 months he had noticeably changed his body shape. He looked healthier. Sure, a lot of that was due to the exercise, but changing his diet was a key component.

Ideally it would be great if people went beyond just calories and looked at glycemic index, mix of protien/fats/carbs, vitamins, minerals, more fruits and veggies, etc. But even simple counting calories can improve health.
