bz training compound north

blake z aka bz

high rollin plush livin in the high rises of b-town. training compound north. last summer bz, susy and climb-um put the compound on the map.

bz likes to dice with pros, local and norba. 3% fat puts him lightweight 147 lbs at 6'1. yaaa

dont deny, bz rips the dh on the ht. wait for the thumb to get strong and the form comes with ease. late season charge. better watch out.
climb-um ZEE.

BZ is a banker, chingy pumpin in the office., full on 9-5 suit and tie gig. but leaves time for the ladies and rippin trail.

cant beat that.

1 why race ride or shred

There have been great responses to this question by other interviewees. Pushing mental and physical fitness to its very limits is beautiful. Most people never take advantage of life and miss out on priceless experiences. There are too many people that report to the man and then go home and burn the night by watching TV and eating poorly. So riding is a proclaimation. It's freedom. It's an expression. It's giving the bird to a sedentary life. It's an embracement of life; which includes ups and downs and all of the experiences of the journey. And racing is tits - when the legs are firing and others are suffering, searching for gears, gasping for oxygen, taking wild risks on the DH, and you roll thru with an awesome performance, it's brilliant!

2 what did you learn by being married
Too much to write in an interview. Liz and I were together for a long time, but the relationship wasn't very well-maintained and we grew in opposing directions. Most married couples have some pretty shitty times, and some part and some stay together. I'm continously amazed at how two people that are so close to each other, in love, and share so much can end up not wanting anything to do with the other person. So the big "take away" from marriage is to be involved, commited, flexible and harmonious with your spouse on most things.

3 what do you think about being all lamed up from the hand surgery

This is the third year in a row since getting my pro upgrade that I've had a substantial limiter during part of the season. But I'm positive about what I can do on the bike and I'm plan on flying in July, August and then again in October for Collegiate Nationals.

4 whats your philosophy on dating or finding that special someone

This is another topic that I could write way too much on. Dating is awkward and blind dates are more awkward, but I like to have fun with it. I've met some very cool girls over the last 1 1/2 years. But cool girl doesn't equal "special someone" as you like to put it. Matching core values is an important element and a daily shower plan impresses the hell out of the ladies. If you are yourself, relaxed and more interested in the chick than yourself, then you are positioned for a successful evening.

5 if you had super powers what would it be

It would be rad to have about 50 to 100 miles of well-designed 1-track in Davis County.
