steve wasmund

here is steve at the local mtn bike race last week. you can find him on the 1 speed, mtn or cross. usually he races cross on a 1 speed then an hour later lines up with the A pack on the geared bike. thats a good day on the bike.

he lives down the street from my adopted family in bountiful. his kids play with my kids. in case you didnt know i have 6 adopted kids. i get to see them every other week.

you cant miss steve at cyclocross he wears orange gloves.

If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?

is this really a hypothetical??? i think i'd be meat... with some sinewy parts... bones with which to pick the sinew out of one's giant canine teeth. or strawberries. i really like strawberries

If you won $20 million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?

to be honest, i'm afraid i'd quit work and try living off of it until an urge to do something productive hit me. i have no idea what that would be since i've never had the opportunity to find out.

How do I rate as an interviewer?
way up there. the best i've had all day.

If you were a car, what kind would you be?

now this is hypothetical. one that a person could trade in on a bicycle. i'd be a practical, useful, bicycle. like my bianchi commuter, with big feet, a hard ass saddle and i'd glow in the dark.

Who do you admire the most and why?

my wife. she's come a long way and nothing's ever been handed to her. she put herself through college, nursing school and graduate school by working full time, a lot of that as a single mom. she's now a nurse practitioner (very admirable) and cares for her patients much more than, i think, they often deserve. and she's super-cool.

In the news story about your life, what would the headline say?

"cyclist hit riding along Beck St in SL,UT" i assume this news story is running after i've died. that's what i'm most likely to make the news for. or maybe, "Local man wins $20 million, retires to travel the world with his wife and gets eaten by a tiger while cycling across China"
